I have been with this company since 2011 as a pharmacist and about 5 more years previously as a clerk and technician. I grew up in Hohenwald and went to Lewis County schools. I went off to college and then was blessed to come back home to this family business after I graduated Pharmacy school at the University of Tennessee. My favorite part of working here is the people. It is the coworkers I see every day, and the patients that we get to meet and know over time. If I could one eat one thing for the rest of my life, I would choose pizza. It covers most if not all the food groups. It is delicious and convenient. ​ I think my favorite quote is from the song Closing Time. "Every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end." This has always spoken to me about how things keep changing and we move on to different things phases of life. As more time passes, it seems more and more true.

I began working at the pharmacy in 2011 when my husband and I first moved to Hohenwald. After our first child was born, I stayed home for seven years until my husband, Jonathan, and I purchased the pharmacy in January of 2020. Since then, I have worn many hats in this business that I love. Jon and I have been married for over 15 years, and one of our favorite things to do is travel with our family.

My name is James Ricky Jones, known to others as Rick Jones. I purchased the pharmacy which is now Jones Hometown Health Mart pharmacy and opened for business on May 15, 1989. The pharmacy was formerly known as Super Drugs. In August of 2021, we relocated to the present location on Main Street. The pharmacy operated under the name of Super D Drugs #215 until January 1, 2013 when we had to change our name to Jones Hometown Pharmacy because our franchisor was purchased by Walgreens. I retired from full-time work early in 2022 after my son, Jonathan, purchased the pharmacy. I currently work on an as needed basis. My favorite parts of working at the pharmacy in Hohenwald include becoming life-long friends with a good number of fellow employees, having thousands of loyal patients and customers who trusted and relied on our staff to provide the medications and information they needed to maintain and improve their health. Finally, I loved working in this small town where the care we gave really mattered and was appreciated. I am forever indebted to this community. If I could meet anyone living or dead it would be Jesus Christ. His love for me is beyond my comprehension. I strive to live each day to please him. The fact is that I will get to meet him face-to-face soon. I don’t know when my appointment is, but he will not let me be late. What a day that will be!

God has blessed our family of 4 and a small dog to be a part of this community and I am very grateful to have joined Jones Hometown Pharmacy in 2021. I completed my bachelor’s degree work at Union University in Jackson, TN and my Doctorate of Pharmacy from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Knoxville. Since moving back to Lewis County, my wife and I have been blessed with three amazing sons. My hobbies include hunting, fishing, and beekeeping.

Hi, my name is Brooke Barnett. January 9th, 2023, I started working at Jones Hometown Pharmacy as a sales associate. I really enjoy working here for the reason that the pharmacy is family owned, which makes the environment very cordial and welcoming! Last December, I graduation with my bachelors in Biology preprofessional health, from Bethel University. I attended Bethel on a Shooting Sports scholarship, which gave me the opportunity and privilege to compete and travel across the country within the last four years.

I have been a pharmacy technician at Jones Hometown Pharmacy for 29 years. It’s a small independent pharmacy. Helping families and friends that I’ve known for years has been fantastic. I have a special place in my heart for our elderly customers who sometimes do not have family members to rely on. My interests are gardening, reading, and spoiling my grandchildren. My favorite quote is “It’ll be alright” and if I won the lottery, I would build a big, beautiful, fun, playground at our ballpark that would be handicapped accessible so all children could benefit from it.

I never imagined I would be a pharmacy technician, but because of the opportunity with Jones Hometown Pharmacy I am doing something I love after being a stay-at-home mom for 4 years and being back in the working mom routine. I was born and raised here in lewis County. I’ve been with my husband, Kyle, for 10 years and together we have four awesome kids. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, reading and going thrift shopping.
